Located in Long Lake, NY, Clear Mountain Contracting is a small business that focuses on custom homes, new builds, custom garages, decks, and other residential construction needs in the area. Come live in the beautiful Adirondack mountains and join our growing team New benefits added beginning January 1, 2026

Overview

• 7:30am – 5:00pm, M-F
• Optional half day Fridays (or work and collect overtime)
• Located in Long Lake, NY

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the lead carpenter, help with all needs for residential construction projects, including (but not limited to) framing, carpentry, drywall, window and door installation, decks, cabinet making and installation, basic electrical and plumbing, finish carpentry and more
• Ability to learn tasks and repeat them independently
• Help to meet daily goals in a fast paced environment

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work in Long Lake, NY
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED, etc.)
• One year of full time work experience, preferably in a similar field (a degree or certificate in any trade can substitute this requirement, including BOCES programs and trade schools)
• Focused and determined to meet daily goals
• Great attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and punctual
• Professional and polite communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in any weather conditions
• Preferred – some experience or knowledge of one or more of the following: framing, carpentry, drywall, window and door installation, decks, cabinet making and installation, basic electrical and plumbing, and finish carpentry
