Floater Teacher

Overview:
The Gan is a brand-new Jewish preschool opening this March, and we are looking for a positive, flexible, and enthusiastic Floater Teacher to join our growing team This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children, loves variety in their day, and is interested in building a career in early childhood education.

If you are currently in college, studying education, or exploring a future in teaching, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside supportive and experienced educators. The position begins February 17th.

Responsibilities:

• Support classrooms as needed across different age groups.
• Assist teachers with daily activities, learning centers, and classroom routines.
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children.
• Supervise children during play, transitions, and group activities.
• Prepare materials and help keep classrooms organized and welcoming.
• Build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Follow all safety and licensing guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children is preferred, but not required.
• College students or individuals interested in starting a career in education are encouraged to apply.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn.
• Interest in early childhood education, Montessori or Reggio-inspired learning is a plus.
