We are looking for a strong
technical Quality Engineer
experienced with risk-based context-driven testing to help us build and evolve our DNSFilter application. As a member of the Quality Engineering Team, you will play an integral role in testing complex, scalable solutions while also occasionally providing testing support for other R&D Teams. Qualified candidates have successfully worked in a fast-paced, hyper-growth SaaS start-up or scale-up organization. This is a full-time role working with globally distributed teams, and is open to candidates in the United States or Canada who can work mostly ET hours, with a preference for candidates who can work in a hybrid office setting for our Tampa, FL office.

In this role you will:

  • Study and learn the product and integration points to understand and identify product risks holistically
  • Identify and work on a variety of challenging and highly complex problems
  • Test new and existing features from early-stage code through to E2E implementation
  • Design and execute tests that reach "beyond the requirements" using strong creative, technical, lateral, and critical thinking skills
  • Design, prepare, and maintain complex data sets used for deep testing
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders at all levels throughout the SDLC
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and debug issues found internally, by our users, and in production
  • Effectively write concise, actionable bug reports and supporting documentation
  • Design and implement tools for testing where they will improve productivity, efficiency, and quality
  • Speak knowledgeably about testing activities, status, and risk

To qualify for this role, you have:

  • 4+ years of experience with Software Testing
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC as it relates to quality
  • Experience with testing & debugging both Cloud-Based Systems & locally installed applications
  • A strong understanding of network protocols, configuration, administration & DNS as it relates to software testing
  • Experience with Postman & API testing, JavaScript, Playwright
  • Experience developing and maintaining test automation
  • A talent for analysis, communication, interpretation, and problem-solving
  • Strong experience in effectively working autonomously in a very fast-paced SaaS organization
  • Experience working remotely or with globally distributed teams
  • Experience working effectively in a startup or scale-up SaaS organization
  • Can work mostly ET hours

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with AI Augmented Testing
  • Experience setting up & maintaining enterprise level test labs
  • Experience testing SSO, SAML, OIDC, 2FA, IAM & 3rd party integrations
  • Rapid Software Testing
