Barista

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while delivering warm, friendly, and efficient service. This role upholds the hotel's hospitality standards by ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining a clean and organized café or lobby lounge environment, and executing beverage preparation with consistency and professionalism. The Barista contributes to a welcoming atmosphere and supports overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a friendly, welcoming environment.
• Take and serve beverage and light food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Personalize service by remembering guest preferences when appropriate.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of seasonal offerings, specialty items, and menu updates.
• Ensure beverage quality and consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café or lobby lounge, including equipment, counters, and service areas.
• Support team members as needed to ensure smooth café operations.

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, latte art, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong customer service orientation.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems and cash handling.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in service execution.

Salary Range: $14/hr - $15/hr
