Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Foreman to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software and tools. This role involves supervising teams, managing project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards across all phases of construction projects.
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely
- Develop and manage project schedules using construction management software
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide onsite activities
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, including quality control and adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and assist in construction estimating and budgeting processes
- Ensure compliance with contracts, permits, and local regulations throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct regular site inspections using tools like ohmmeters to verify electrical systems meet specifications
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Train, mentor, and supervise onsite personnel to maintain productivity and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction sites
- Proficiency with construction management software and other relevant tools
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, project scheduling, and construction estimating
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance
- Strong management skills with demonstrated experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read technical schematics and use testing tools like ohmmeters for quality control purposes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for coordinating between teams, clients, and stakeholders
- Relevant certifications or training in Construction Management or related fields preferred
