LaMotte Chemical Products Company located in Chestertown, MD, has an opening for a Maintenance Engineering Manager at a minimum rate of pay of $73, max of $127,012 per year. The successful applicant for this position must have the minimum of a Bachelors degree in an engineering field with chemical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred with minimum of 2 years experience with automated equipment, ISO 90001 requirements and audit training. Also required is 2 years leadership experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. Must be able to transport (safely carry objects/materials within same facility/location) up to 50 lbs., operate shop equipment, power tools and hand tools. Requires ability to lead, mentor, and coach a diverse maintenance team with the ability to demonstrate leadership, time management and sound judgement. Further requirements include ability to: read and understand technical instructions and manuals; experience and skills in areas relating to building construction and modification; knowledge of total productive maintenance techniques; automation experience and the ability to learn LaMotte specific automation controls for customized production equipment; ability to service, manage, control, and monitor low humidity environments; and ability to work based on guidance and without supervision. The positions work site is 802 Washington Avenue, Chestertown, Kent County, MD, with no travel required. The Maintenance Engineering Manager at LaMotte Chemical Products is responsible for engineering, preventative maintenance on equipment, and building maintenance for the Chestertown facility.
Specific Job Duties Include
Ensures that Maintenance Engineering team members, contractors and other maintenance related individuals work safely and comply with all applicable safe work practices/procedures.
Leads the Maintenance Engineering function at the Chestertown site to safely achieve the highest level of asset effectiveness, while maintaining quality standards.
Establishes and maintains maintenance management system records, equipment histories and other data to maximize asset availability and performance (OEE).
Works Directly With New Equipment Manufacturers
Develop equipment specifications.
Approves mechanical drawings.
Resolves any issues.
Develops and conducts Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) when equipment is completed, before being shipped to LaMotte.
Manages and is involved in equipment installation, start up, and testing.
Trains LaMottes equipment operators and Maintenance team on the operation and care of equipment.
Troubleshoots and addresses equipment failures/issues.
Aids in the development of equipment preventative maintenance (PM) practices and spare part stocking levels.
Assures that LaMotte proprietary automation equipment is operating, has spare parts, and that maintenance personnel are trained on robotics, vision systems, controls, and custom human machine interfaces.
Assures critical spares, subassemblies and components are available.
