What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst -- BCG Vantage on our topic activation path within BCG's Health Care Services Sector (a part of BCG's Health Care Practice Area) you will work in a growing team, primarily focused on providing expertise and insights related to Health Care Provider Organizations across the care continuum (e.g., hospitals, ambulatory care, post-acute care). You will work together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisor on topics such as provider economics, site-of-care shifts and network strategy, health IT, workforce productivity, revenue cycle and margin improvement, quality improvement, and value-based care performance. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.

Additionally, you will support the Provider team in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage, you will assist with on-boarding, training and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.

Our work spans organizations across the entire spectrum of the health care industry, including the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, payers, providers, health care services and federal, state & local health care systems.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches related to Provider Organizations
  • Codifying knowledge and maintaining assets and tools for the Provider team based on different client contexts
  • Communicating with case teams and stakeholders, in a credible and confident way
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
  • Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of consulting experience in relevant Health Care Provider Organizations (i.e., hospitals, ambulatory care, post-acute care, Health IT) required
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience using key health care data sources including claims, hospital reporting, hospital financials, price transparency, etc. to drive key business decisions
  • Preferred: Proficiency in quantitative analysis of large-scale health care data using tools such as SQL, Python, R, and/or SAS to interpret health care data, identify trends, and apply analytical frameworks to inform decision-making
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree such as MPH, MHA, or MBA preferred)
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

  • The base salary range for this role in Boston is $100,500 - $108,500 .

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
