Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic & dynamic Chef & Manager to lead The Emerald Cafe & Bakery. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences & drive the restaurant's success through strategic management & team leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Duties

  • Lead & manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, service quality, & staff performance.
  • Oversee inventory control, food safety standards, & food management processes to ensure compliance with health regulations & cost efficiency.
  • Supervise kitchen & front-of-house teams, providing training, coaching, & development to foster a high-performing work environment.
  • Manage POS systems for accurate order processing, sales tracking, & cash handling procedures.
  • Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels, reduce waste, & maximize customer satisfaction during peak hours.
  • Monitor customer service standards to ensure guests receive outstanding hospitality & resolve any issues promptly.
  • Develop budgets, analyze financial reports, & implement strategies to meet revenue goals while controlling costs.
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed to enhance the restaurant's reputation & revenue streams.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in a quick service & fast food restaurant or casual dining environment with supervising responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, & kitchen management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems; experience with cash handling is essential.
  • Strong background in food safety protocols, inventory control, food handling, & food production standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, staff training & development, & conflict resolution.
  • Experience in restaurant management roles within the hospitality industry; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
  • Ability to oversee shift management efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates effectively & foster a positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial analysis related to food service management.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
