Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Administrator to lead and oversee the daily operations of our senior care facility. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care services, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a warm, supportive environment for residents. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive experience in long-term care settings, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. As an Administrator, you will coordinate staff, manage budgets, implement care plans, and uphold the highest standards of safety and resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring smooth coordination among departments including nursing, social work, and activities.
- Supervise staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and professional team.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents with diverse needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to assisted living, nursing home standards, and home & community care services.
- Manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality resident care; oversee billing processes and financial records.
- Facilitate communication between residents' families, healthcare providers, and staff to promote transparency and collaborative care.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by conducting audits, incident investigations, and updating policies to improve safety and service delivery.
- Coordinate medication administration procedures in accordance with healthcare protocols to ensure resident safety.
- Promote a positive environment that emphasizes dignity, independence, and respect for all residents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care management or long-term care administration with a strong background in assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Extensive knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory support programs, and resident's (personalized resident information).
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with supervising experience in group homes or retirement homes.
- Familiarity with developing and managing care plans tailored to residents' unique needs involving developmental disabilities or aging-related conditions.
- Strong understanding of operations management including budgeting, financial acumen, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with medication administration protocols and home & community care practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents' families, staff teams, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Ability to handle complex situations with compassion while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
