Job Title: Controller / Accounting Manager

Pay Range: $85,000-$150,000

Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person

Overview
Our firm is focused on developing and managing our multi-family and commercial real estate portfolio in the Pacific Northwest. We are looking to hire a controller to take full ownership of our accounting functions. The controller will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, implementing accounting controls/procedures and producing reports to help drive strategic growth. Duties

• Take ownership over all accounting, finance, and reporting functions, including AP, AR, GL, job costing, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple development projects.
• Coordinate with business partners, investors, and external CPAs.
• Assist in implementing internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and insurance requirements.
• Evaluate and enhance current systems and software to improve efficiency and reporting.
• Manage AR/AP Administrator

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience
• CPA preferred but not required
• Experience in construction or related accounting field is necessary.
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting, draw schedules, and cost tracking.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience implementing and maintaining accounting controls and procedures
• Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting transactions and reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Yardi, Microsoft Excel and/or industry-specific platforms).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and a desire to learn
