General Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development of discrete, hybrid, and custom IC design products.

Essential functions and Responsibilities:

  • Transistor level design of high-voltage and high-power products using discrete semiconductor and passive components in hybrid and SMT assembly technologies.
  • Specification and selection of discrete semiconductors, passive components, and IC components for use in analog and mixed signal designs.
  • Hybrid and SMT circuit layout supervision.
  • Bread boarding/prototyping
  • Conduct design verification and validation.
  • Collaborate with marketing, test, automation, process, and applications engineers to develop high performance analog and mixed signal products from initial concept phase throughout the product release process.
  • Participate in product definition and design specification.
  • Create the necessary design and product documentation and participate in design reviews.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in design tools including Spice simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout.
  • Data collection and post processing.
  • Present data to peers, management, and customers
  • Translate customer and market requirements into design requirements and product specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering; AND
  • Zero – Three (0-3) years of relevant industry experience (electronics) with an understanding of analog and/or mixed signal design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Engineering degree.
  • Proven competence in operational amplifier design.
  • Power circuits design and development.
  • Experience with hybrid microcircuit or multichip module technologies.
  • Design team lead experience including coordination of cross-functional product development resources.
  • Schedule planning and tracking using software tools such as MS Project.
  • Hybrid and board-level circuit layout experience.
  • Lab characterization and debug skills.
