Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a ISO 9712 compliant Level 2 Phased Array Certification and be responsible for conducting advanced non-destructive testing using phased array ultrasonic equipment to ensure the integrity and quality of critical components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and precise data collection to support safety and compliance with industry regulations, including ASME codes and standards.

Duties

  • Perform phased array ultrasonic inspections on various materials and components, adhering to established protocols and schematics.
  • Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and soldering equipment to prepare and modify test setups as needed.
  • Conduct surface mount technology inspections and assemble components with precision.
  • Collect, analyze, and document data accurately during inspections to support quality assurance processes.
  • Identify defects or irregularities through non-destructive testing techniques, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports and records for traceability and audit purposes.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment during all testing activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve inspection methods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with phased array ultrasonic testing techniques in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to nondestructive testing.
  • Familiarity with schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement devices.
  • Experience with surface mount technology, soldering, and assembly processes is preferred.
  • Excellent analysis skills for interpreting data collected during inspections.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform quality control and assurance tasks effectively while adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $ $55.00 per hour
