This Hydro power projects team delivers fully engineered control system solutions for hydro power plants across North America. This team specializes in replacing existing governor control systems and related equipment, providing comprehensive turnkey solutions that include project management, engineering design, system integration, testing, and commissioning.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Aid in the execution of engineering projects for retrofit solutions in the North American hydro power industry.
- Aid in the design and development of Hydro Governor and Plant Control systems.
- Interpret technical specifications to aid in the creation and application of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical controls.
- Contribute to the implementation of new system functionality based on customer requirements.
- Program and adapt various control logic styles, including Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Flow Diagrams.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics to ensure accurate system integration.
- Configure PLC and HMI software for custom applications.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and commission systems at customer sites.
- Develop control narratives and hardware/software test procedures.
- Build expertise as a subject matter authority in hydro-related control systems and plant operations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in controls and automation.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to understand how systems work.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and occasional international).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience as a Controls Engineer working with PLCs and/or DCS.
- Experience with Emerson Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Familiarity with Turbine Governor Systems and Hydro Control Units.
- Ability to analyze engineering designs for logic or digital circuitry, motor controls, instrumentation, or data acquisition systems.
- AutoCAD experience.
