Controls Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controls/Automation Engineer to design, program, and validate automated equipment. The ideal candidate has strong Rockwell Automation skills, hands-on vision system experience, and a solid understanding of IQ/OQ/PQ processes in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, debug, and troubleshoot Rockwell PLCs (ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Studio 5000).
• Integrate and configure machine vision systems (Cognex or Keyence).
• Implement and tune Rockwell motion control systems (Kinetix drives).
• Develop and execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for equipment qualification.
• Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and equipment deployment.
• Prepare schematics, test plans, and technical documentation.
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in controls/automation engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Rockwell PLC programming (Studio 5000).
• Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems.
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell motion control.
• Working knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ validation processes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
