About

The Low-Voltage Project Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to project teams, with a focus on assisting internal and external (subcontracted) field services technicians. These technicians are responsible for installing and testing security cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. The role ensures smooth project operations by providing frontline support throughout the duration of projects and offering training to customers when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize project documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Serve as the primary support contact for field services technicians, both internal and external subcontractors, during installations and testing phases.
  • Schedule and coordinate project related meetings and communications with internal and external field services technicians.
  • Track project deadlines and milestones, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports and updates for stakeholders.
  • Provide frontline support for technical issues encountered during installations and testing.
  • Assist in training customers on the operation of security cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
  • Document lessons learned, best practices, and key outcomes from completed projects.
  • Support tracking of financial expenditures and ensure costs align with project budgets.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Technical aptitude for understanding and supporting installations of security systems.
  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative roles or project-related support.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field preferred.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.

  • Accuracy and timeliness of project documentation.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with communication and frontline support.
  • Successful resolution of technical support issues during project execution.
  • Percentage of tasks completed on time and within project scope.

  • Efficient management of schedules and project resources.
  • Completion of various manufacturer certification(s) or training courses within 6 months.
  • Completion of OSHA 10 certification within 3 months.
  • Completion of Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) within 12 months.
