Description
About Streamlly

Streamlly is a digital-first news company producing 30-second cinematic news films designed for how people actually watch today. We operate across web, mobile, and streaming platforms, combining journalism, technology, and creative production.

As we scale, we're looking for a Business Operations Manager to bring structure, rigor, and calm to the day-to-day operations of the company.

The Role

This role is the operational backbone of Streamlly. You'll oversee HR administration, accounting coordination, legal and compliance processes, and internal business operations — ensuring the company runs smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently.

You'll work closely with leadership and external partners (payroll, legal, accounting) and act as the internal owner of systems, policies, and processes.

What You'll Do

Business & Operations

  • Own day-to-day business operations and internal workflows
  • Build and maintain operational systems, documentation, and SOPs
  • Track company expenses, budgets, cash flow, and vendor contracts
  • Support leadership with reporting, planning, and operational insights

HR & People Operations

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and contractor payments
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and personnel records
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws across states and countries
  • Support performance documentation, policies, and employee relations
  • Coordinate with HR platforms (Gusto, Remote, Deel, or similar)

Accounting & Finance (Oversight, not CPA work)

  • Coordinate with external accountants and bookkeepers
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and clarity
  • Ensure timely invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
  • Track payroll, taxes, and compliance filings
  • Maintain clean financial records and audit readiness

Legal & Compliance

  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel on contracts and compliance
  • Maintain corporate records, filings, and entity compliance
  • Support contractor agreements, NDAs, and employment documentation
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, labor, and operational regulations
Tech & Tools

You should be comfortable with or able to quickly learn:

  • Payroll & HR platforms (Gusto, Remote, Deel or similar)
  • Accounting tools (QuickBooks)
  • Contract management & e-signature tools
  • Google Workspace or similar ops tools
  • Basic financial and compliance reporting
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in business administration or operations management
  • Hands-on background in HR, accounting coordination, and compliance
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to operate independently and proactively
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Clear communicator who can work across teams and with executives
Why You'll Like Working Here
  • Direct access to leadership with meaningful influence on company direction
  • Primarily remote work environment with flexibility, including occasional in-person meetings in Sarasota, FL.
  • Mission-driven work with real social and public impact
  • Competitive compensation with clear growth opportunities
  • Comprehensive benefits, including:
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan

This role requires the applicant to be located in Florida, within reasonable driving distance of Sarasota, FL.
