Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge in Sacramento, California? We are hiring a skilled individual to manage the movement of goods within our bustling warehouse. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are transported efficiently and safely from receiving to storage and then to outbound shipping areas. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and performing routine equipment checks. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. We prioritize a secure workplace, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety rules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to use required PPE.
