Our thriving logistics company is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and an unwavering commitment to safety. All employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting and maneuvering of heavy loads. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to ensure efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment. - Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper lifting and PPE usage.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of general logistics operations.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
