About
We are seeking a hardworking Material Handler to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our warehouse, involving the movement, organization, and preparation of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and staging goods, as well as operating basic warehouse equipment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Your contributions are vital to our overall logistics operations. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Sort, stock, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent placement and movement of goods.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational efficiency.
- Support all aspects of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse role is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Team player with a strong work ethic. Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE is paramount. Understanding of basic warehouse principles and logistics is a plus. This role is crucial for maintaining our operational efficiency.
