Job Summary:
Our dynamic logistics facility in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler. This role is instrumental in supporting our warehouse operations by managing the movement and organization of goods. You will be responsible for handling a variety of materials, ensuring they are safely and efficiently transported, stored, and prepared for distribution. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual and powered material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (if certified), to move materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents and ensuring accuracy.
  • Sort, organize, and store materials in designated locations, maintaining an orderly warehouse environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock checks, and stock rotation.
  • Transport materials to and from various departments or staging areas.
  • Ensure that all materials are handled safely and securely to prevent damage or loss.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, participating in safety training and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Properly use all required PPE, ensuring personal safety during all tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including consistent Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with operating various material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of using PPE.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic knowledge of logistics operations is beneficial.
