We're seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at our nonprofit, nonpublic school in Oceanside, CA, where you'll make a lasting difference in the lives of students with developmental disabilities.
As an SLP at TERI, you'll work side-by-side with a dynamic team of educators, therapists, and behavior specialists to help middle and high school students-many of whom are nonverbal or use AAC-build essential communication and life skills. Our students are referred to TERI because traditional school settings could not meet their unique behavioral and therapeutic needs. With 1:1 behavioral support and a highly individualized approach, you'll have the tools and support to truly help each student thrive.

Your Role and Responsibilities -
- Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and other therapists to create individualized student goals
- Deliver direct speech therapy services to individuals and small groups or supervise implementation of speech goals by Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant
- Adapt therapy to meet each student's unique strengths, needs, and communication style
- Support AAC device use and integration throughout the school day
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student assessments and planning
Qualifications -
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California SLP license or RPE status
- Strong ability to build rapport and adapt therapy to individual needs
- Professionalism, flexibility, and a positive, student-centered mindset
- Ability to pass a criminal background check & obtain negative TB test
Salary -
$75-85 Hourly
Status -
Full-Time or Part-Time
*School closed on major holidays, one week in winter, and two weeks in summer (extended school year runs full day)
