About
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in a partner facing role, in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Experience working externally with C-level executives and internally with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal) across all levels of management.
- Experience managing partnership agreements, contract drafting, negotiation, launch/execution and ongoing relationship management.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA, Master's degree, JD or an Advanced degree.
- Experience driving ambiguous projects in a fluid environment to completion with minimal guidance, attention to detail, and ability to proactively identify creative opportunities with ethics and confidentiality.
- Experience owning commercial and product partnerships (e.g., complex technical integrations) devising the strategy, crafting the partnership structure, drafting and negotiating agreements (in partnership with legal), and communicating such terms internally and externally.
- Experience with web and AI/ML, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication, investigative, problem-solving, process navigation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
This role is part of the Chrome Partnerships team, responsible for increasing the footprint, utilization and usefulness of Chrome browser and the web through AI, product and growth partnerships and deals. The Chrome Partnerships Mission is to strategically advance Chrome and Google goals related to AI advancement, browser growth and web usage expansion, across both consumer and enterprise.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, driving and executing end-to-end AI partnerships internally and externally for Chrome browsers and the web ecosystem.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive, lead and execute Chrome AI partnerships end-to-end internally and externally, from initial strategy through close and launch.
- Develop and execute a strategy to bring AI, web and product innovations to market through partnerships, including identifying and prioritizing the overall opportunities and workstreams, partner landscaping, developing the GTM model, structuring, contract drafting, negotiation, and execution through technical launch, with ongoing relationship management.
- Partner closely with cross-functional and cross-Google stakeholders (product, engineering, marketing, legal) to influence and develop product and partner strategy, secure buy-in and approval, and align on business impact.
- Develop a subject matter expertise on AI and web across consumer and enterprise for developer and consumer experiences, and identify new partnerships opportunities and risks.
- Identify, maintain and grow relationships with key partners as external Point of Contact (POC) to partners.
