Reports To: Injection Molding Manager
Location: Canton, OH, USA
Department: Injection Molding

Job Summary

As a Process Technician at AmbaFlex, you will play a key role in setting up, monitoring, and optimizing injection molding processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality parts. In addition to molding operations, you'll be involved in packaging products, operating semi-automated equipment for assembly, and troubleshooting machinery to meet internal production demands. This is a unique opportunity to work in a versatile role that combines responsibilities often separated in traditional manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and start injection molding machines according to production schedules.
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance as directed.
  • Document process changes and maintain accurate production records.
  • Operate and troubleshoot semi-automatic "click-machine" for chain assembly per specifications.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve cycle times.

Available Shifts:

  • 5:00am-5:30pm Friday-Sunday
  • 10:30pm-7:00am Monday-Friday

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on injection molding processing experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of molding processes, tooling, and semi-automatic equipment.
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Excellent communication skills with sharp attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Equipment Operation: Experienced in safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Quality Assurance: Skilled in using precision measurement tools to maintain strict quality standards.
  • Additional Strengths: Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment

Requires standing for extended periods and lifting or pushing completed product up to 90 pounds.
