POSITION SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Assistant Manager assists the manager with managing the center of the kitchen department to promote sales, achieves profit margins, labor goals and exceeds customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Follow through training, reports and supervision tasks, properly working, clean, full and organized department
  • Develops departments' schedules, promotions, sales forecast
  • Successfully oversees department personnel shifts while maintaining retail standards
  • Oversees suppliers invoices and returns
  • Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for stocking merchandize
  • Requests and ensure proper signage
  • Trains new employees, utilizing all training checklists and materials
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding margin and sales targets
  • Controls spoilage / shrink; achieves turn goals and inventory control
  • Orders merchandize for the departments per standard practice
  • Ensures strategy is reconciled among company direction and category strategy
  • Requests promotional activities related to seasonal promotions, demo supports, events, etc.
  • Determines cause and actions to address and resolve challenges
  • Creates, administers and measures quarterly budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Kitchen experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use the hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.

  • Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
  • LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work schedules are variables depending on the needs of price changes the schedules will be variable working from midnight.
