Kitchen Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring smooth food preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients using proper knife skills, including chopping, slicing, and dicing
• Help with dishwashing, sanitation, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
• Assist with meal preparation and food handling to ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards
• Assist in preparing food for catering events
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and kitchen operations

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of knife skills
• Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry is advantageous
• Familiarity with food safety practices and proper handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if needed
• Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
