Who We're Looking For
Our client located in the Madison, WI area is looking for a .NET Developer to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role will work onsite in Madison, WI in a hybrid model. CANDIDATES MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN WISCONSIN TO BE CONSIDERED.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern web application development using .NET Core, C#, and SQL Server, along with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This role requires a developer who can work across the full stack, integrating UI and server-side logic, and collaborating closely with team members on design and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Rewrite and modernize legacy web form applications into a modern web application.
- Develop using Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC (.NET Core), C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Telerik Kendo, and SQL Server.
- Build full-stack solutions integrating front-end UI and server-side logic.
- Interface with existing systems, including authentication and authorization services.
- Utilize and integrate data from multiple databases and applications.
- Collaborate closely with team members on design, development, and implementation.
- Perform requirements analysis and technical design.
- Develop and maintain database objects (stored procedures, tables, views, functions).
- Conduct unit and smoke testing.
- Participate in interactive code reviews.
- Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code.
- Document technical requirements and application design.
- Share knowledge and communicate transparently with the team.
Qualifications
Top Required Skills (5+ years each):
- .NET MVC Core application development using C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Application development using Visual Studio and established .NET/web design patterns.
- Microsoft SQL Server development (tables, views, stored procedures, functions).
- Experience performing unit and smoke testing.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
Additional Required Experience:
- Writing JavaScript-based responsive HTML5 applications (5 years).
- Documenting technical requirements and application design (5 years).
- Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience and understanding of project management principles (3 years).
- Requirements analysis (3 years).
- Authentication and authorization techniques (3 years).
- Proactive and reactive application security practices (3 years).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Telerik Kendo or similar UI frameworks (1–3 years).
- Bootstrap (3 years).
- Entity Framework Core (3 years).
- Source control using Git (3 years).
- Familiarity with TFS / Azure DevOps (3 years).
- Full-stack development experience (1+ year).
Codeworks discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $35.00 and $45.00. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
