About
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong animal handling skills, veterinary terminology knowledge, and experience in various clinical procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment providing compassionate animal care and supporting veterinary medical teams with technical expertise. The Certified Veterinary Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients through accurate diagnostics, treatment assistance, and client communication.
*Duties*
* Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
* Perform laboratory tests including sample collection and analysis
* Administer medications, vaccinations, and injections following aseptic techniques
* Handle animals safely using restraint techniques suitable for different species and sizes
* Conduct animal catheterization, X-ray imaging, and other diagnostic procedures
* Maintain detailed medical records and update patient files accurately
* Provide pet grooming, dog training support, and pet care advice to clients
* Manage kennel duties including animal husbandry, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring health status
* Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting during cleanings or surgeries
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment through aseptic techniques
*Requirements*
* Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent credential required
* Proven experience with veterinary critical care, laboratory work, and animal handling preferred
* Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care best practices
* Experience with dog handling, animal restraint
* Familiarity with veterinary procedures is a plus
* Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
* Must have laboratory experience, veterinary technician experience, and familiarity with X-ray procedures
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
