We are hiring a Picker/Packer in sunny San Diego, California! This role is fundamental to our e-commerce fulfillment center, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you'll be the one selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to our operational success and customer satisfaction. You will be working with a variety of products, requiring careful handling and attention to detail. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a growing logistics team in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick customer orders using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Accurately pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packaging.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain optimal speed and accuracy in picking and packing processes.
- Ensure all workstations are clean and organized.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any damaged products or inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to team efforts to meet daily targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management systems.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance standards.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods.
- Understanding of safety procedures and use of required PPE.
