About
We are hiring reliable Order Pickers for our distribution facility located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will be essential in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. Your main duties will include retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order lists, verifying product details, and staging items for packing and shipping. This is a great opportunity to join a growing logistics company and develop your skills in a hands-on role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick sheets or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Inspect items for damage before moving them to the packing area.
- Transport picked items to designated staging locations.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Contribute to team performance goals within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for the entire shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols and logistics best practices.
