Are you a natural leader with a knack for organization? We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimize our operations in Portland, Oregon. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our warehouse. You will oversee daily activities, manage inventory, coordinate staff, and ensure adherence to all safety and operational standards. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate and schedule warehouse staff, ensuring adequate coverage and productivity.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness to ensure an efficient and safe working environment.
- Operate and manage warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, minimizing disruptions to logistics.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and transportation companies.
- Monitor and manage shipping and receiving schedules to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety, emphasizing proper Lifting techniques and hazard awareness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and computer systems.
- Ability to train and motivate a team.
- Experience with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate safe Lifting practices.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
