We are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other machinery, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. This position is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of our logistics operations and ensuring timely processing of goods. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all employees to strictly adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. This role requires physical strength, including the ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting procedures.
- Support the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics and operations.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
