We are seeking an organized and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to oversee our facility in Columbus, Ohio. This pivotal role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all logistics activities. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that all shipments are processed correctly and on time. You will play a key part in implementing and enforcing safety protocols, including mandatory usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to maintain a secure working environment. This position requires excellent leadership skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics. You will also be involved in coordinating with other departments and external partners to streamline operations. The ability to handle challenging situations and make informed decisions under pressure is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and maintain efficient logistics processes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff.
- Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments.
- Maintain records and generate reports on warehouse activities.
- Address operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of PPE requirements.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
