About
Our Colorado Springs, Colorado facility is seeking a diligent Material Handler to support our diverse logistics operations. This role is essential for the efficient movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transferring materials, ensuring they are properly staged and accessible for production or shipment. A strong commitment to Safety and the ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting, are fundamental.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using manual or powered equipment.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or receiving as directed.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as counting and locating materials.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Requires significant physical exertion and regular Lifting of items up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with inventory control principles is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
