Job Summary:
Are you an experienced and certified Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening at our state-of-the-art distribution center in Nashville, Tennessee. This vital role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will operate forklifts to load and unload goods, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist in the shipping and receiving processes. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all forklift operators to strictly adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures. This position demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse logistics, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory locations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including speed limits, load limits, and proper stacking procedures.
  • Ensure the proper use of required PPE at all times.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, supporting overall logistics operations.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies related to material handling.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret load charts and safety warnings.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Commitment to wearing required PPE.
