SFB/CRC administrative assistant (m/f/d)

wanted for the next possible date at the Department of Hematology, Oncology, Rheumatology.

For our SFB/CRC 1709 “Cellular Plasticity in Myeloid Malignancies: From Mechanism to Therapies- we are looking for an administrative assistant to support the speaker of the Collaborative Research Center. In this CRC we will focus on myeloid malignancies as a model to dissect the various molecular mechanisms that enable and regulate cancer cell plasticity. Our overall goal is to pave the way for new cancer therapies. The CRC has a budget volume of around 15 Million Euro and 33 Project leaders at different institutions (e.g DKFZ, EMBL, other University Hospitals). If you are interested in basic and translational research, this is a chance to be part of an ambitious project that will perform cutting edge cancer research. You will collaborate closely with the other members of the Scientific Management Team. We offer a challenging and interesting position in an international and collaborative environment. The SFB 1709 is a long term project, 12 years duration are envisioned.

  • Serving as first contact point for SFB 1709 members and external partners and supporting the speakers and the administrative and scientific coordinators in the daily management for the SFB, incl. organisation and documentation of meetings, preparing and editing of text documents and - presentations, and compiling statistics
  • Support of the administration of the SFB 1709's finances, incl. financial reporting
  • Assistance in planning and organisation of all activities of the SFB, e.g. Data management support, Consortium meetings, Retreats, Colloquia, Symposia, 2 young investigator meetings per year (summer/ winter school)

  • 5 years experience as an administrative assistant, in best case already experience in an SFB/ CRC or GRK/ RTG
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with scientists and administrators, experience in working in international contexts (a very good command of English and German is required)
  • Good PC knowledge (MS Office incl. Excel and Power Point)
  • Very good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
