Software Developer Mission Support Systems (d/f/m)
We are developing and supporting Mission Support Systems for our Tornado, Eurofighter and future aircraft at the Airbus site in Manching/Germany.
Our Mission Support Systems (MSS) comprise the preparation of aircraft missions including route and mission planning and support for the analysis of the accomplished mission.
The key challenges include the implementation of all operational requirements of our customers, considering the technical capabilities and constraints of our aircrafts. Our Customers expect high performance IT systems and state-of-the-art software applications that leverage the capabilities of our aircraft and allow a safe operation.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
You take over software engineering tasks throughout the life cycle of our development projects, including software design according to the provided requirements, software implementation, unit and integration testing
You take over responsibility for software and interface design tasks considering aspects like feasibility, reusability, maintainability, safety, technical performance and IT-security
You ensure compliance with rules and regulations resulting from software and aircraft development standards applicable to our project
You live our agile transformation by following our processes, continuously identifying and realising improvement potential and contributing to an increase of automation
You foster collaboration within our project team and with involved stakeholders
Desired skills and qualifications:
You have an university degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
You have several years of hands-on experience as developer in object-oriented programming languages (preferably in aeronautics or defence sector)
You have a good overview of current technologies in the Java eco-system and experience in their application
You ideally have experience with the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) and threat / sensor analysis
You master source code management systems as well as UML, OO design and design patterns
You are highly motivated to continuously engage with new software technologies and improve software development processes
You are a strong team player, able to work self-organised with an ambition for high quality
You speak English at negotiation level, German is a plus
