We are seeking a Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) Systems Analysis Engineer specializing in memory subsystems to join our team. This role focuses on optimizing memory architectures within ARM and other CPU/GPU core subsystems, working across software, firmware, board, and silicon/SoC components to deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions that address critical memory bottlenecks. 

Key Responsibilities   

Memory Subsystem Architecture & Optimization   

  • Analyze ARM and other CPU/GPU core subsystems to identify performance-critical memory components and bottlenecks 
  • Work with memory providers to specify and validate memory instances that maximize power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization 
  • Research system-level innovations to reduce memory bottlenecks, incorporating latest memory technology innovations 
  • Lead memory subsystem architecture decisions and performance optimization strategies 

Systems Architecture & Product Definition  

  • Define comprehensive systems architecture including hardware and software integration across memory subsystems 
  • Translate business opportunities into technical use cases and develop product specifications for required components 
  • Lead design, analysis, and implementation of component-level choices focusing on performance, features, and cost optimization 
  • Conduct technical risk assessments with emphasis on reliability, security, availability, maintainability, and sustainability 

Integration & Implementation Leadership  

  • Define systems implementation and integration solutions to ensure optimum performance and reliability across hardware and software 
  • Deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems, including solution deployment and benchmark testing 
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and performance analysis reports 
  • Lead proof-of-concept development and feasibility studies for innovative memory solutions 

Research & Innovation  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze next-generation requirements and identify new opportunities 
  • Guide research and academic collaboration on advanced systems and solutions beyond current industry approaches 
  • Conduct lab experiments for proof-of-concept innovations and new feature feasibility studies 
  • Simulate real-world environments and analyze prototype performance in laboratory settings 
Qualifications:

The Minimum qualifications are required to be considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM-related field of study.
  • 4+ years of experience in memory subsystem optimization for ARM or RISC-V SoCs
  • Direct system simulation experience in memory subsystem optimization
  • Experience with Python or other machine learning-capable coding environments and methodologies

 Preferred Qualifications 

  •  Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEM-related field of study. 
  • Experience with EDA flows for Digital Implementation or Digital Frontend Validation 
  • Advanced research background in computer architecture or memory systems 
  • Experience with advanced memory technologies and emerging memory solutions 
  • Experience with AI/ML workload memory requirements and optimization techniques 
  • Experience with security and reliability considerations in memory subsystem design 
  • Experience with multi-core and heterogeneous computing architectures 
  • Experience with power management and thermal considerations in memory design 
  • Experience with industry standards and emerging memory interface protocols 
  • Experience with performance modeling and validation methodologies

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $122, ,190.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
