Position Summary

The Entry-Level Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical and communications construction projects from award through closeout. Working under the direction of a Project Manager or Project Executive, this role assists with schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, purchasing, and coordination with field supervision to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, including scope review, schedule development, and budgeting for electrical and low-voltage/communications work.
  • Support the preparation, tracking, and updating of project schedules, three-week look-aheads, and manpower forecasts in coordination with field supervisors.
  • Help manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change requests, ASIs, meeting minutes, and daily/weekly reports.
  • Assist with material and equipment takeoffs, procurement, and tracking, ensuring deliveries meet project timelines and specifications.
  • Coordinate with electricians, telecom/low-voltage technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors regarding scope, schedule, and site logistics.
  • Support cost control and billing processes, including change order preparation, T&M tracking, and monthly progress billings.
  • Help review drawings, specifications, addenda, and revisions for impacts to electrical and communications scopes; distribute updated documents to field teams.
  • Assist with QA/QC activities such as verifying installation against drawings and specs, documenting punch lists, and supporting commissioning efforts.
  • Participate in project meetings (internal and external), capturing action items and following up to ensure completion.
  • Support enforcement of company safety policies and site-specific safety plans in coordination with the Safety and Field teams.
  • Contribute to project closeout, including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and turnover documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
