Required Experience/Skills/Attributes\:  

· Secret clearance or above

· Bachelor's degree and two years of experience with Cisco routers and switches is required.

SAIC has an opening for a Network Engineer billet in Arlington, VA. SAIC is recognized as an IT leader in the intelligence and law enforcement spaces. This exciting opportunity will be supporting the United States Marshals Services' unique mission needs. We are seeking an individual to join the team who is fully committed to the success of USMS programs and bringing the best innovation, implementation, and attitudes to bear to the position. 

Description of Duties\:   

The candidate will support the activities and operations required to maintain the division's network. This includes ensuring the stability and integrity of data, voice, video, and wireless network services. The Network Engineer will install, configure, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize network hardware, software, and communication links. Additionally, the candidate will

· Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems, and provide training where required

· Contribute to the department network design, project planning and budget estimations

· Responsible for installation and maintenance of network devices

· Monitor functions of network devices within the department network to ensure acceptable performance

· Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records

· Responsible for incident response, backup systems and procedures and disaster recovery plans and tests 

· Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN and other network elements

· Act as resource to customers and external stakeholders regarding network

· Identify, evaluate, and implement hardware and software solutions for department systems

· Support Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Voice and Video over IP, Data Center and Cisco Wireless networks
