Restaurant Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of service in our restaurant or hotel setting.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
• Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
• Assist with guest inquiries and requests, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant or hotel services.
• Support guest relations by addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Aloha POS system is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• A passion for customer service and helping create memorable experiences for guests.
• Open Table reservation platform knowledge would be ideal but not absolutely necessary
