Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively. The Host/Host will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience while maintaining the flow of operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using the Aloha POS system to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing guest relations.
- Provide support during busy periods by helping with customer service tasks as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for helping others and creating memorable experiences for guests in a restaurant or hotel setting is essential.
