Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations at our premier resort. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including: managing general property performance, managing and sustaining sales and marketing strategy, managing profitability, managing revenue generation, and delivering a return on investment to both Marriott International and ownership. Leads the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies. Acts as a steward and key leader for reinforcing TownePlace's culture. Supports the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations and developing strong associate teams. Builds relationships with key customers and is involved in the sales process.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily hotel operations, including front desk, guest services, housekeeping, and food & beverage departments
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue management and optimize occupancy rates
  • Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
  • Manage budgeting processes, financial reporting, and cost control measures to ensure profitability
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring guest satisfaction and addressing guest complaints promptly
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth night audit procedures and accurate financial reconciliation
  • Oversee guest relations to foster a welcoming environment and promote repeat business
  • Supervise the use of multi-line phone systems, ensuring professional phone etiquette and efficient communication
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies across all departments
  • Review and follow-up on property GSS scores and comments.
  • Create and support clear lines of responsibility for management team, including coverage and oversight throughout the day.
  • Walk the property to ensure public spaces, grounds, work and kitchen areas meet sanitation and cleanliness/maintenance standards.
  • Manage the flow of labor between departments to support effective management of Labor Budget and achievement of profitability goals.
  • Act as a project manager for the execution of capital improvements (e.g., renovations, reinventions, refreshes, signage, etc.).
  • Delegate responsibilities for operations and projects to appropriate level of associate.
  • Prepare for BSA audits (i.e., daily and pre-visit activities).

Experience

  • Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations, preferably within a resort setting
  • Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively
  • Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, and financial oversight
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems and front desk operations, including night audit procedures
  • Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly advantageous for enhancing guest interactions and team communication
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
  • Experience in human resources functions such as hiring, training, and performance management is preferred

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated hospitality professional to lead a prestigious hotel while delivering memorable experiences for guests.

Pay: $68, $80,000.00 per year
