Overview:

We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to build the internal AI infrastructure that makes our teams faster and more effective. You'll create tools, systems, and workflows that leverage LLMs, memory systems, and intelligent automation to improve how we develop software and operate as a SaaS company.

This is a high-impact role focused on internal productivity. You'll work across the organization to identify bottlenecks, prototype solutions, and ship tools that make a measurable difference in how our teams work—so we can build better products for the research community, faster.

Why Silverchair:

Scientific research drives human progress—but only if it can be found, trusted, and used. The systems that connect researchers to knowledge matter enormously, and they're being transformed by AI.

Your work on internal systems directly enables the products we build for the research community:

  • Research discovery: Our tools help researchers find relevant work faster, surface unexpected connections, and stay current in rapidly evolving fields

  • Research integrity: We build systems that support rigorous peer review and help maintain trust in the scientific record

  • Access and equity: We're making scholarly content more accessible and usable for researchers everywhere

The faster and smarter our teams can work, the faster we can deliver on that mission. This role is about building the AI-powered infrastructure that multiplies what Silverchair can accomplish for science.

We're remote-first, engineering-driven, and committed to staying at the forefront of what's possible. If you want your work to matter beyond the next sprint, we'd like to hear from you.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth trajectory while working with cutting-edge SaaS metrics and analytics. You'll be at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, providing critical insights that drive business decisions.
