Painter/Labourer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and construction practices. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. The Painter/Laborer will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and performing restoration tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary
• Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
• Assist in restoration projects by repairing damaged surfaces and structures
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met
• Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Experience

• Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
• Familiarity with carpentry techniques and rigging is preferred
• Strong understanding of time management principles to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to construction projects
