Join the Snowflake team.Snowflake's Data Analytics Office is actively seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI solutions that enhance our internal functions across Sales, Marketing, HR, and Legal departments. You will leverage your extensive industry experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create AI-driven applications that optimize our business processes.Reporting to the Senior Director of Data & Analytics, you will be part of a team charged with building business applications and tools powered by AI, and integrating them into Snowflake's existing systems. You will be a key player in driving innovation and efficiency across various company projectsIN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO:Design, develop, and implement AI infrastructure and solutions that enhance Snowflake's internal process, system and operationsCreate advanced applications to improve data analysis, predictive capabilities, and automation across various company projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective AI-driven applicationsIntegrate AI applications and tools into Snowflake's existing systems, ensuring scalability and compliance with data privacy standardsMonitor and evaluate application and tool performance, conducting regular assessments to ensure accuracy and relevanceStay updated with the latest advancements in AI technologies and implement emerging trends in our solutionsOptimize AI applications for performance and user engagementON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:5-7 years of experience as Data Scientist supporting various business functionsExperience in building AI business application and tools that has been deployed into production that generates tangible business impactProficient experience with Python and other relevant programming languagesHands-on experience with popular AI frameworks and librariesExperience with cloud-based AI platforms and servicesSolid understanding of natural language processing, computer vision, and speech recognitionMaster or PHD in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical fieldExcellent communication skills to explain AI systems to project managers and business stakeholdersAbility to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with generative AI frameworks and architecturesKnowledge of large language models (LLMs) and their applicationsFamiliarity with prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques for generative AI modelsEvery Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data.
