*Junior Developer - Technology - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ*
*Salary:* The starting salary is £53,459, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £50,531 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £55,103. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

*Job Summary*
*As a Software Developer, you will be involved in providing technical support and expertise to Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), designing and creating bespoke software and integrating external solutions to assist in operations and strategic work.*
This role is aligned to the *Developer* role set out within the Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework (DDAT).
You’ll join a new team of software developers, working flexibly from home or from our modern London headquarters located in West Brompton. A Birmingham office location is also available. This is a great opportunity to assist in building a world class development function.
This role requires a flexible working approach and be self-motivated to help ensure that the various environments are well architected and documented.
*Key Tasks*
The post holder will be required to do the following:
* develop software to meet user needs
* write clean, secure and well-tested code
* operate the services you build and identify issues in production
* coach and mentor more junior colleagues
* Integration of new services, infrastructure or applications
* Analysis of new and emerging technologies, devices, and user habits
* Analyse information, apply professional judgement and provide opinion, with rationale
* Keep abreast and up to date with relevant current affairs issues, technologies and subject matter requirements as required.
