Join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as an Order Picker! This role is critical to our mission of delivering exceptional service to our customers. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses good organizational skills, and is committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You'll be working in a fast-paced setting where accuracy and speed are key. Understanding the importance of proper product handling and inventory management within the logistics chain is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on customer orders and pick lists.
- Use RF scanners or other picking devices to track items picked and ensure accuracy.
- Verify product information, quantities, and condition of items before staging.
- Transport picked items to the packing and shipping stations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with putting away stock and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy through diligent picking and reporting any discrepancies.
- Support overall logistics operations as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Good stamina and ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices is important.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control.
