We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator in Raleigh, North Carolina, to join our expanding logistics operations. This position is critical for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your responsibilities will also include loading and unloading trucks and ensuring the proper storage of goods. Safety is paramount in this role, and we require all operators to strictly adhere to established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. A valid forklift certification is highly preferred, and prior experience operating various types of forklifts is essential. The role involves regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, and the ability to perform physical tasks in addition to operating machinery is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and storage areas.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure that all activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear and use required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to optimize logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification strongly preferred.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
