About
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will involve receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials with accuracy and care. This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified), to move and organize inventory. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors and maintain inventory integrity. Teamwork and communication are key as you collaborate with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. We expect all team members to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Significant lifting may be required, so a good physical condition is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick orders based on pick lists and ensure correct items and quantities.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, following all packing guidelines.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
