We are recruiting for a skilled Warehouse Technician in Raleigh, North Carolina, to support our advanced logistics and operations. This role requires a proactive individual capable of maintaining and troubleshooting warehouse equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. You will be instrumental in upholding the efficiency and reliability of our distribution center through technical expertise and a commitment to Safety. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure operational continuity.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and work areas, reporting any hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair logs.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Support the logistics team in troubleshooting operational challenges.
- Must be capable of some manual tasks and occasional Lifting as needed for repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in warehouse maintenance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or industrial maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds for equipment handling.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
